Gerindra: Economic Package Delayed That Evidence of Non-Smart Leaders

Rakyat Digital. Gerindra Party DPP Chairman Ahmad Riza Patria said the postponement of the XVI Economic Package was a form of weak leadership of President Joko Widodo in managing the government. Previously, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution announced the postponement of the implementation of the XVI Volume Package.


"So this is proof of the weakness of managerial leadership at the top of government leaders.


According to Riza, the delay was also evidence that the government was unsure of the policies issued. He mentioned again about the delay in raising premium fuel. Riza says it's not much different.


According to him, these two things are implications or consequences of government leaders who are not smart.


"It is difficult if the leader is not smart and has no commitment. Yes this is it. It should be comprehensive, integrated, well coordinated," said Riza.


Riza then said that if President Jokowi did not feel agreed on an XVI economic package, then he should dismiss the minister concerned. According to Riza, people who are given the task of helping the president must be in line with the leadership. Not the other way around.


"The minister must be fired. If not, then it means the president is not right," said Riza.


Regarding the XVI Economic Package itself, Riza strongly disagrees if applied. He considers the government to be the same as pro-foreign and pro-government if the package is implemented.


"Evidence of the Government not thinking of the people. Not carrying out a people's economy. Not implementing article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. The economy is controlled by the state for foreigners. Not for the people," he added.
